Initially, the injury did not look serious and Jan Winkiel, the secretary general of the Polish Ski Association informed on Sport.pl that Kamil Stoch’s performance was not in danger. Ultimately, Kamil Stoch will not start in Zakopane, so he should not be expected to return until the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.
Officially: Jan Habdas will replace Kamil Stoch in the competition in Zakopane
The Polish Ski Association has released new information on the team appointed for the World Cup competition in Zakopane, which will be held on January 15-16, 2022. “Jan Habdas was appointed in place of Kamil Stoch to the composition of our team for the World Cup competition in Zakopane” – we read in the official announcement. Jan Habdas made his debut in the Friday qualifying for the World Cup competition in Wisła, and then took 46th place in the Sunday competition.

In total, twelve Polish competitors will jump on Wielka Krokiew. Apart from Jan Habdas, the white-and-reds will be represented by Piotr ¯y³a, Dawid Kubacki, Paweł Wąsek, Jakub Wolny, Andrzej Stękała, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Maciej Kot, Tomasz Pilch, Klemens Murańka, Kacper Juroszek and Stefan Hula.
