“Serie A was not for me. Allegri? Little dialogue, Juve should be at the top”

The last operation out of the Juventus in the summer market 2022 was the loan of Denis Zakaria to the Chelsea. A rather surprising deal, a consequence of the missed negotiation between Manchester United and Adrien Rabiot and of the Bianconeri’s need to sacrifice a midfielder to make room for Leandro Paredes.

The short parable of Denis Zakaria to Juve

Arrived in Turin last January from Borussia Moenchengladbach the Swiss midfielder had an excellent impact on the Juventus world, with his famous debut with goals in the match against Verona, the same as Dusan Vlahovic’s debut, who also scored. Then a bad muscle injury in Empoli coincided with the beginning of the decline of the short Juventus adventure of Zakaria, however the starter on the first day against Sassuolo and then on the pitch for a piece against Roma.

Zakaria stings Serie A and Allegri

Interviewed by the Swiss newspaper ‘Blick’ Zakaria revealed some background on the deal that brought him to Chelsea on 1 September, with whose shirt, however, the former Juventus player is still waiting to make his debut: “It was born all of a sudden, Chelsea made the offer and in a few hours we signed the contracts and I had medical examinations, but my will was not to leave Juve.“. All this despite a rather low appreciation for Italian football. And from the words of Zakaria not even a criticism of the game is missing Allegri:Serie A is not my football, Juventus always played too low. But for the potential they have the team should win every game 3-0 and stay high in the standings“. However, the relationship with the Livorno coach was good: “The coach is a good person, this I can say with certainty, as well as a successful coach, but I must say that I have never talked much with him.“.

“Tuchel? I came to Chelsea for him too …”

The present, however, is called Chelsea, despite the exemption of Thomas Tuchel, whose presence on the bench was one of the reasons that led Zakaria to accept the transfer to London: “I wanted to work with Tuchel, I said yes to Chelsea for him too. At Chelsea I will discover a football with more space, more intensity and more duels that should be fine for me, but I have to put minutes in my legs. Liverpool interest? I’ve heard about it too, but there was nothing concrete“.
