Ski Jumping. World Cup in Zakopane without Kubacki and Wąsk! Poles with positive test results

Dawid Kubacki and Paweł Wąsek will not take part in the World Cup competition at Wielka Krokiew (HS140) in Zakopane scheduled for this weekend. Biało-Czerwoni tested positive for Covid-19.

The Polish Ski Association informed about the positive results of our representatives’ tests on Thursday afternoon.

“Dawid Kubacki and Paweł Wąsek have tested positive for Covid-19 and will not take part in the World Cup competition in Zakopane. This weekend 10 Polish representatives will compete at Wielka Krokiew”, we read in the PZN communiqué.

This is not the first time that our representation has weakened. Kamil Stoch will also be missing in Zakopane. During the Wednesday’s warm-up he suffered a rupture of the articular capsule and will not be able to train on the hill for the next 2-3 weeks.

Ten Polish representatives will perform in Friday’s qualifications at Wielka Krokiew. Piotr Żyła, Jakub Wolny, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Andrzej Stękała, Jan Habdas, Stefan Hula, Kacper Juroszek, Maciej Kot, Klemens Murańka and Tomasz Pilch will compete for promotion to the individual competition on Sunday.
