Škoda Enyaq Coupè iV, 100% electric design and technology – Tests and News

It is a future that has already arrived, electric and coupé too, the one into which the new Škoda Enyaq Coupé iV is about to enter. After the launch of its 100% electric model Enyaq iV, the Bohemian house is in fact ready to take the field with its coupé version, of which an RS sports variant will also be available. We were to discover the characteristics of the new model on the roads of Tuscany, between curves and straights, discovering an attractive design and, a pleasant drive and, despite the sporty lines, a great comfort in the passenger compartment, also equipped with ample space and a boot capacity of 570 liters.

Coupé, when we talk about an electric car, also means a different approach to aerodynamics which, as we know, even cars with the plug count a lot in terms of energy. Reaching 0.234, the drag coefficient of the new Enyaq coupe has been improved over that of the Enyaq iV. Depending on the specifications, this allows for a range of more than 540 km in the WLTP cycle, making the car suitable for covering even medium-long distances. Two battery cuts are offered, rear or all-wheel drive, and four power levels from 132 kW to 220 kW (RS variant).
The coupé design, particularly in its RS version, is striking from the first approach, including front bumper and side skirts in body color and alloy wheels measuring between 19 and 21 inches. The lines of the vehicle are then accentuated by the roof with tinted panoramic glass, standard for every coupe and which is also the widest panoramic glass in the Škoda range, embracing the entire roof to join the rear window. Being thinner than the usual headlining, the roof also offers passengers more headroom.
The new coupe will be available (although the timing of its arrival has not yet been defined with certainty) in four power levels, namely the rear-wheel drive Enyaq Coupé iV 60 (with a 62 kWh battery and 132 kW power), Enyaq Coupé iV 80 rear-wheel drive and 150 kW thanks to its 82 kWh battery (net 77kWh). in addition to the 80x and RS versions which, using the same battery, are equipped with a second motor for the front axle.
The first 100% electric Škoda RS model, also available in Mamba Green paintwork, also has a particularly sporty driving dynamics, a series of design details in glossy black and the typical red reflector that cuts through the rear bumper. The RS iV takes just 6.5 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100km / h and reaches a top speed of 180km / h, 20km / h faster than any other variant of the new coupe. ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV is also available in the exclusive Mamba Green paint.
