Square Enix Reduces The Number of Units

After a disappointing third fiscal quarter, Square Enix is looking to restructure the company, reports Gamesindustry website. The Japanese publisher’s financial income declined by 4.8%, and profits fell by 60.1%.

According to Yosuke Matsuda, President of Square Enix, this is due to poor sales of Just Cause 4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Dragon Quest Builders 2.

Now the company consists of 11 divisions. This year they will be united in four. As explained in Square Enix, the reduction of units will not entail the dismissal of employees.
