First announced in 2017, the construction plan had stayed on paper for a long time and even raised some perplexity between planners and engineers. The idea of ​​a city verticalcrossed by vehicles levitating, has raised some doubts to observers. However, last July, the crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, now prime minister, has unveiled the plans for the first buildings, kicking off the tenders. The complex, located within the vast Neom, will be called The Line and provides for the construction of two skyscrapers parallels extended over more than 170 kilometers of mountainous and desert terrain. The goal, clearly manifested by the kingdom through the words spoken last August by the Minister of Sport, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, is to be able to host the Olympic Games.
