The Dragon Age series has lost its experienced creative director

Matt Goldman, senior creative director of the series Dragon Age, left the BioWare studio, with which he was associated for over 20 years. In the message that the company’s CEO sent to the studio employees, we can read that it was a joint decision that will not harm the development of the next installment of the Dragon Age series..

Hi everyone

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to inform you that Matt Goldman is leaving BioWare. We made the decision to part ways together, and his last working day is today.

We understand that Matt’s departure has an impact on both you and the development of the game. We assure you, however, that our commitment to creating high quality Dragon Age ?? a it has not changed and we will not deliver products to the market that do not meet BioWare standards.

We [BioWare – przyp. red.], together with EA’s executive team, we trust the studio management and the people working on the game [Dragon Age IV – przyp. red.]who are able to realize our vision.

– wrote the CEO Gary McKay in an email to the studio employees

Apart from sharing the content of the e-mail, the Kotaku website raised the topic of Goldman’s departure with a person representing Electronic Arts. It confirmed the information about the break-up and the undisputed development of the game (which, by the way, we will wait a lot for). If for? the question is who will replace Goldman in the position, it has not yet been announced. The interested party himself did not refer to this issue either.

As we can read on profile LinkedIn Matt Goldman, joined BioWare in 1998. He was involved in projects such as Jade Empire, Baldur’s Gate, MDK2, Mass Effect: Andromeda and of course the series Dragon Agehe was associated with from the very beginning. In 2017, he was appointed the senior creative director of the brand.
