– Sport has a great power to unite people, regardless of race, religion, gender or socio-economic status. It makes us happy, healthy and we can learn throughout our lives. It is an important branch of the economy, producing almost 3% of EU GDP, and therefore requires greater visibility and action at the EU level, added Frankowski on the website of the European Parliament.

UEFA emphasizes that this is a very important step in the fight against the idea of creating a Super League.

– UEFA welcomed the resolution as an important step forward in developing a European model of sport based on solidarity and sporting values. The Frankowski report contains specific and applicable recommendations on key issues, such as good governance, solidarity, gender equality, diversification and fundamental issues such as sustainable development and mental health, UEFA writes.
