An HBO Max promo reveals that in the new episodes, in addition to Jennifer Coolidge, another familiar face will also return.
The White Lotus flies to Sicily in the second season and we can’t wait to meet the new guests of the exclusive resort that will be the backdrop to the new episodes. In the meantime – one exit date has not yet been fixed by HBO nor consequently by Sky e NOWwhere it will arrive in Italy – the streaming video service HBO Max showed a taste of what lies ahead in a promo that presents the news coming in the coming months, including the new season of the series of Mike White: the return of the iconic Tanya played by Jennifer Coolidge, but also of another character already seen in the first season. And, in order not to miss anything, a look at the very Italian Sabrina Impacciatore who in the new episodes will play the director of the hotel at the center of the story (inheriting the role from Murray Bartlettthe interpreter of the director of the White Lotus of Maui, Armond).
The White Lotus 2: The plot and characters
The first season of The White Lotus followed a group of guests and employees of a luxury resort in Hawaii, exploring their family and secret issues over the span of a week. The second, entitled The White Lotus: Sicily, will focus on a different group of guests and the employees of another White Lotus facility, this time in Sicily. In the promo – which also features other major titles available on HBO Max such as House of the Dragon And Westworld – some of the protagonists of this second season of The White Lotus: in addition to Sabrina Impacciatore welcoming guests, we see Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) And Will Sharpe (Giri / Haji) as Harper and Ethan Spiller, e Theo James (Sanditon) And Meghann Fahy (The Bold Type) in those of the spouses Cameron and Daphne Babcock. The cast also includes the former star de The Sopranos Michael Imperioli who plays Dominic Di Grasso, a guest on vacation with his newly graduated son and his elderly father played respectively by Adam DiMarco (The Order) And F. Jon Gries is back too
The first images also reveal the return of Jon Gries as Greg, the man who made Tanya lose her mind in the season 1 finale. Now we see them whizzing on a scooter through the Sicilian streets, apparently happy. “Based on the scenes I’ve seen, I think people will really enjoy the second season, they will be impressed,” Jennifer Coolidge said in a recent interview with TVLine. And we are waiting for nothing else.
