The James Webb Space Telescope has been damaged? NASA issued a statement

After years of construction delays, shipment into orbit and cost drastically increased to $ 10 billion, at last James Webb Space Telescope was completed and took a ship to French Guiana, from where it was scheduled to enter orbit this year. Unfortunately, a few days ago we heard about disturbing incident.

It turns out that when mounting the telescope in the rocket charge cover Ariane 5, there was a vibration that was transferred to the entire device. It was about a sudden, unplanned release of the zip tie. Then there were strong vibrations.

The engineers panicked that they might have led to damage to an extremely delicate mirror. We all know that this is the most important part of the telescope. We also know what happened to the Hubble Space Telescope when problems with its mirror were found.

Fortunately, the James Webb Space Telescope, our new window to the universeis fully operational. This official information was given by NASA. Engineers inspected the most important parts of the device and it seems to be in perfect condition. Space exploration fans and astronomers from all over the world can therefore rest easy.

The agency also announced that the telescope will fly into orbit as planned later this year. A top launch of the Ariane 5 rocket from French Guiana is set to take place December 22. The device is currently refueled. this process is expected to take the next 10 days.

After this stage of preparation, the rocket will go to the launch site and undergo tests. If everything goes according to plan, it will be the most powerful space telescope in human history early next year will start looking for us, among others second Earth.
