On Thursday evening, Stefan Huber surprised the fans by informing on social media that he was ending his career as a ski jumper. A career that wasn’t strewn with success. Stefan was still in the shadow of Daniel Huber.

In the World Cup, Stefan Huber made his debut in February 2017 (in Sapporo), and a day later he scored the first points. He settled permanently in the World Cup in the second half of the 2019/20 season, taking, among others, eighth in Lahti. After completing this cycle, he never got a chance at the highest level.

He competed much more often in the second ski jumping league. In the Continental Cup, he stood on the podium 12 times, five times in the highest step (the last time on February 1, 2020).

It was a really great time to have my brother and I had the ups and downs in the sport. I am grateful. my family, friends and sponsors for making it possible for me Thank you! – wrote Stefan Huber on social media.

“Oh God, welcome to the club” – replied Gregor Schlierenzauer, who ended his richer career a few months ago.
