Gregor Schlierenzauer has had such a successful career that his successes can be shared by several players. He was an Olympic champion, world champion, twice winner of the Crystal Ball and also won the 4-Hills-Tournament.
The 53-time winner of the World Cup competition is only 31 years old. He could easily continue to compete, but a few months ago he made a decision that he was ending his career. The last time he jumped was last season, but he did very mediocre.
Will he change his mind again and we will see him on the hill? It turns out that Schlierenzauer has mixed thoughts on this point.

– I have many thoughts related to this. The first was that I would never jump again. The next one was different, that maybe I will start in the World Cup again, and the third one, that I will jump once again for my relatives, family and friends. In the end, I decided that I had to be honest with myself, and I think I don’t need to sit on the beam and jump – he says in “Przegląd Sportowy”.
The Austrian has not been able to regain his championship form in recent years. There were also serious injuries. Despite this, it still does not rule out that he will make an exception if fans insist.
– If people in Poland would really like to see me on the hill, I will come, but I seriously think that it is the best for me, as I decided – he adds.
