John Krasinski she recounted her children’s reaction to their first viewing of The Officethe TV series that made him famous.

During an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Krasinski said his six- and eight-year-old sons asked about the show and he and his wife, Emily Blunt, finally agreed to show them the pilot.

They have literally just started watching The Office. And by the way, I mean I showed them an episode. As I was driving, I heard from the back seat: “So, what’s special about The Office?” And I was like, “Okay, that’s a great question. we will take it in small doses.” So Emily was like, “Show him the pilot.”

They were watching the first episode, and the biggest one, it turns out she talks to the screen a lot. So when Steve Carell fired Jenna Fischer, she told him, “What are you doing? What are you doing?” And then she says to him: “You are a horrible person!” And I commented, “You should meet Steve Carell.”

And then my six-year-old kept asking me, “Is that you?” And I: “Yes, it’s me”. “You look very different.” And I’m like, “Okay, I’ll try not to take this as an offense. Of course”. And he continues: “You look very different.” “No it’s me. I’m just playing a character.” Finally he snorted and said to me: “It’s not you”. And he watched two more episodes saying, “It’s not you. The boy looks a lot like you, though.”
