Lost Olliea four-episode story based on the book Ollie and the forgotten toys by the renowned author and illustrator William Joycecomes streaming on August 24th. What is it about? The plot of Lost Ollie
Adapted from Shannon Tindle (Coraline) and directed by Peter Ramseythe director of the award-winning animated film Oscar Spider-Man: A new universe, Lost Ollie tells the epic adventure of a lost toy that bravely faces the thousand pitfalls of childhood, wandering the length and breadth of the countryside to find the child who lost it; at the same time, it is the story of a child who has lost more than his best friend. This moving tale draws on childhood memories, recalling those special encounters from long ago that changed our lives forever.
The cast and production team
The young Canadian actor Kesler Talbot stars in the series as Billy, a boy who forms a very close friendship with his toy Ollie (voiced by Jonathan Groff in the original version) at an early age. When Ollie finds himself for sale in a thrift store after a school bully separated him from his human friend, he begins his journey home. Tim Blake Nelson And Mary J. Blige voices Zozo and Rosy, two other toys that help Ollie on his journey; Gina Rodriguez And Jake Johnson play the parents of little Billy.
The production team includes Shawn Levy And Josh Barry from Stranger Thingsbeyond Brandon Oldenburg. “It’s definitely an adventure and it’s definitely fun, but I also wanted it to address the issue of loss. I think people don’t talk about it enough. I wanted to have something that spoke directly to it,” Shannon Tindle explained to EW.
