Work has finally started on the production of Rebel Moonthe new film by Zack Snyder branded Netflix. It was the same who gave the news snyder from his official account of Twitterthrough a laconic and explicit announcement:
“Day 1 #RebelMoon. It started.“
In addition to the message, the tweet also contains some images from the set, including that of Djimon Hounsou with his stage costume.

REBEL MOON
Rebel Moon is directed by Zack Snyder who, in addition to being the producer with his wife Deborah and Wesley Coller, also wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. Executive producers are Bergen Swanson, Sarah Bowen of Grand Electric, Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. CAST: Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Bae Doo-na, Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, Sky Yang, Rupert Friend, Stuart Martin, Corey Stoll, Cary Elwes, Michiel Huisman. Production officially started on 20/04/2022 and should end, barring unforeseen events, by November. Distribution will of course be handled by Netflix.
Preliminary synopsis: A peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruler named Balisarius. Desperate people send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them make a stand.
