Thunderbolts, will Rachel Weisz’s Melina also return? let’s talk about

For the past few days, most fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been commenting on the impressive cast of Thunderbolts, from which, however, a very important name is absent: that of the Oscar-winning actress. Rachel Weiszinterpreter of Melina in the Marvel Studios saga.

As seen in the first Phase 4 movie, Black WidowRachel Weisz’s Melina is the ‘mother’ of the original Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff, and the ‘second’ Black Widow, his ‘sister’ Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh: as confirmed by the presentation of Marvel Studios at d23, Thunderbolts will not derive exclusively from the TV series Falcon & The Winter Soldier but it will also be extremely connected to the events of Black Widowof which it will be almost a sort of sequel given that it will include among the protagonists, in addition to Yelena, too David Harbor’s Red Guardian and Olga Kurylenko’s Task Mastertwo Marvel characters introduced in the saga in Scarlett Johansson’s film.

You may remember that Black Widowa prequel set before the events of Captain America: Civil War, left Natasha’s ‘family’ free, with Yelena, Red Guardian, Melina and Task Master who, after destroying the Red Room, went into hiding before being arrested by the late William Hurt’s General Ross. If, subsequently, the tv series Hawkeye allowed fans to find out which path Yelena took after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thunderbolts presumably he will tell what other family members have done in all these years: perhaps not surprisingly David Harbor recently spoke of Thunderbolts as a bittersweet film made up of 50% comedy and 50% drama, after all.

There are currently no neither rumors nor official confirmations about a Rachel Weisz returnbut with all the rest of the ‘family’ already on board, it would be really strange not to see her on board … unless, of course, Something hasn’t happened to Melina in the meantime: What do you think about it? Tell us in the comments.
