A week ago we wrote that Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano equaled the world record of VakifBank Istanbul in the number of consecutive victories in all competitions. The team, whose captain Joanna Wołosz is, defeated Bosca S. Bernardo Cuneo 3: 2. thus achieving the 73rd consecutive win. The Polish team has been unbeaten since December 2019.

On Sunday, the team from Conegliano had the chance to break the world record belonging to the team from the largest city in Turkey. Everything spoke in their favor, the team led by Daniel Santarelli played at home, in addition, his rival was Delta Despar Trentino – the team from the bottom of the Serie A volleyball league table.

The players from Conegliano entered the game strongly. Visitors dominated, winning the premiere 25:13. In the second, they picked up the pace even more, and the players from Trento were not able to answer. The third party was the most even, but it was still controlled by the Home team.

Thus, the team of Joanna Wołosz achieved the 74th victory in a row and broke the record of VakifBank Istanbul! Poland, playing on Sunday’s game, scored one point by attacking. Paola Egonu and Loveth Omoruyi Oghosasere added 12 “points” to the team’s achievements.

Now the team from Conegliano can only screw their own record. An opportunity for this will be on Wednesday, because the team of Joanna Wołosz in the Champions League will face the Serbian ZOK UB.
