Legendary is back on our screens with another dose of ballroom drama, and viewers can expect several changes to the competition format.
The HBO Max show pits the houses of the ballroom scene against each other in a succession of weekly competitive dances.
These “houses” of underground ballroom culture were first created by the iconic transgender woman Crystal LaBeija in the late 1970s in New York.
The show aims to achieve “legendary” status for contestants, with a whopping $ 100,000 cash prize available to winners at the peak of the program.
Part of Legendary’s appeal to audiences is the fabulously flamboyant fashion displays, while people are thought to also tune in every week for drama away from the dance floor, amidst the celebrity panel.
And now, those famous faces among the judges got a big shake up.

No official explanation has been provided at the time of writing as to why Megan ended her involvement with Legendary for her third season.
The news coincides with the appearance of a video clip showing model Cara Delevingne crashing onto Megan Thee Stallion’s red carpet at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards.
