Hopes for a second season of Hawkeye may have rekindled. The series premiered last November and centers around Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), who work together after Kate stole Clint’s former Ronin costume. Hawkeye also reintroduced Wilson Fisk / Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) after being a prominent Daredevil character. After Disney decided to place the show in the Limited Series category for the 2022 Emmy Awards, the House of Ideas is considering reclassifying the show, which gives it a better chance of having a second season.
The official Disney Studio Awards page now has Hawkeye listed as Outstanding Comedy Series rather than Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Obviously, the words “limited series” mean a series with only one season, but since the show was reclassified, the chances of returning to Disney + once again are greater.
Meanwhile, a first glimpse of Echo, a Hawkeye spin-off, was shared with Alaqua Cox. According to official synopsis released by Marvel, “Echo’s origin story revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace the meaning of family and community if she hopes. always going forward “.
