World Cup 2022, Holland and Senegal in the round of 16: here’s who they will challenge

The Netherlands wins group A virtuously concluding a path without defeats. Van Gaal’s selection beats the hosts of Qatar 2-0 who close with three defeats to their credit. In the first half, the Dutch team broke the deadlock with Gakpo – making his third goal of the tournament – midfielder Frenkie de Jong sealed the result at the start of the second half by doubling the lead. In the other match of the group, Senegal beat Ecuador 2-1. The African team took the lead from a penalty through Sarr, the South Americans equalized in the 68th minute thanks to Caicedo, but two minutes later Senegal took the lead again through former Neapolitan defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Hollandhaving won his own group, will go to challenge second place in Group Bi.e. the United States. Senegal – second in Group A – will meet the winner of the group bthat is to say England.
