Ex-participant of the reality ‘Dance Moms’, JoJo Siwa also had a cosmetics line named after him from the market for containing asbestos
YouTuber JoJo Siwa lives and transmits a colorful and dreamlike world in all the content he produces on video platforms and social networks. However, she lent her name to a game with somewhat dark features and the merchandising action turned out to be a nightmare for her.
The ex-participant of the reality show ‘Dance Moms’, 17, was severely criticized and questioned by her fans and followers for the explicit content of the questions contained in the board game ‘JoJo’s Juice’, a toy aimed at children launched in partnership with to Nickelodeon. The game contains questions like “Have you ever passed anyone naked or has anyone passed you?” and “Have you ever left without underwear (swimsuit doesn’t count)?”, texts that many people considered to be extremely problematic suggestions for children.

Siwa, who has faced controversies such as promoting a cosmetics line that contained asbestos and having included a child making blackface in one of his video clips, was forced to use his social networks to clarify the new controversy. “I was informed by my fans and followers on TikTok that my name and image were used to promote this board game with really inappropriate content,” began Siwa. “When companies make these games, they don’t take care of everything for me, so I had no idea what kinds of questions were on these playing cards,” she continued. “Now, when I saw this for the first time, I was really upset at how rude these questions were and so I immediately caught Nickelodeon’s attention.”
The young star stated that he is doing everything to get the toy to be collected from the shelves where it is being sold and reiterated that he would not let his name appear on the packaging if he knew the content contained in some texts of the product. At the end of the video, JoJo ends the post by thanking the fans for bringing the matter to their attention.
