Mark Zuckerberg’s estate has registered a historical collapse of over 70 billion (more than half), settling at about 54.6 billion dollars and becoming the 20 richest man in the world.

A little less than two years ago, Zuckerberg boasted $ 106 billion in assets, climbing to the podium of global billionaires alongside a very close circle of the likes of Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates. His wealth increased to a peak of 142 billion dollars in September 2021, when the company’s shares reached a high of $ 382.

The problems started after the company name changed, passed from Facebook Inc to Meta. In addition to the name, Zuckerberg’s company changed its goals and investments which resulted in a record-breaking earnings report, in negative. Zuckerberg said he expects the project to lose “significant” amounts of money over the next three to five years.

Among the Big Techs, Meta is undoubtedly the company that recorded the worst decline. Menlo Park, California-based company is faring worse in 2022 than most of its FAANG peers dropped by about 57% this year, much more than the 14% drop for Apple Inc., 26% for Amazon.com Inc. and 29% for Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc.

Zuckerberg’s wealth tied for the overwhelming majority to Meta shares. The CEO and owner of the company holds approx 350 million shareswhich are valid today 146.09 dollars each.
